Apple develops its remote wireless charging technology, reports Mark Gurman. Not only that, Apple also continues with the development of a wireless charger for various devices, even after the cancellation of its AirPower a few years ago.

In the most recent installment of its Power On newsletter, the renowned leaker and Bloomberg journalist assures that Apple has begun with the development of its own short and long distance wireless charging technology. Furthermore, Gurman believes that Apple envisions a future in which devices “can charge each other”:

I think Apple is still working on a type of multi-device charger, with the intention of releasing it eventually. I also believe that Apple is working on short- and long-distance wireless charging devices, and that it envisions a future where all of Apple’s mainstream devices can charge each other. Imagine an iPad charging an iPhone and then that iPhone charging AirPods or an Apple Watch.
